Crafty Christmas

Date: Sunday 25th November. 4pm-5.30pm.

Venue: Holy Trinity Church.

Following on from our successful Harvest Bake Off, the churches of Bradley Stoke Parish invite you to our Crafty Christmas afternoon of craft activities.

In anticipation of our afternoon of crafts and activities around the events of Jesus coming into the world, you are invited to bring with you your own interpretation of a Nativity Scene in a Shoebox and enter it in our competition. There are five categories in our competition with prizes for each category:

  1. Card / recycled household scrap / wood
  2. Wool and other fabrics
  3. Modelling clay /Salt dough / Play dough
  4. Lego or other building blocks
  5. Edible [bisquit/cake/sweets / icing]

If you are in need of a little inspiration – type “Nativity in a shoebox” to your chosen internet search engine in their “images” option. You will find loads of ideas at a whole range of ability levels.

Our Bake Off brought in a range of excellent cakes from people across our communities, with amazing prizewinners from our guests at this great community building event, raising £285 for MacMillan Cancer Support.

To follow on from this, you are invited to our afternoon of themed craft activities based around the Christmas story: Making Crafty Christmas cards, Build your own Advent calendar,  Make a Nativity Snowglobe to take home are just some of the things we will have on offer.

Christmas themed refreshments will be available throughout the afternoon.

Our churches are supporting the North Bristol Foodbank this Christmas and invite you to bring a donation of food to help out people in need over the Christmas season and through the cold and dark of winter.
